2014 pinot noir • willamette valley
Our first wine taking this project on the road to source fruit outside the Napa Valley and it was wildly successful. A long-time friend offered us some fruit from one of his sought-after vineyards in the Red Hills just outside of Dundee, Oregon. Iron-rich soils and a mild climate create the perfect terroir for growing Burgundy wines.
You will want to make something a little more special with this wine. Give it a hard decant with in the first few years of drinking it. Grilled squab with briar berries and a succotash of roasted corn and bacon will match perfectly. This wine will go long. 15 years easily.
